WELCOME TO TAMM!

Great to have you here.

Located in the region of Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg, Tamm benefits from the strong economy and stable growth in employment that you can find in this area. As a resident of Tamm you benefit from all the advantages of a small, family friendly community while having good connections via train to bigger cities such as Stuttgart or Ludwigsburg. Locals enjoy Tamm's numerous town events as for example the Fleckenfest and the diverse offers of clubs and activities.

The municipality of Tamm dedicated itself to make you feel welcomed. We want our town to become your new home as quickly as possible and will assist you to get settled smoothly.

If you speak English, please contact us in advance so that we can prepare accordingly and provide an English speaking employee. If you speak a different language than German or English, please notify us in time. We will try to provide a translator.

Please be aware that on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday themunicipality is closed in the afternoon.
If you make an apointment, it is possible to visit outside of the opening hours.

Franziska Voigt is in charge of the Migration and Asylum office.

If you need help or support communicating with authorities and service providers, you can contact her via mail or phone.
You are, of course, also welcome to visit during office hours. If you cannot visit during office hours on Thursday, please contact her beforehand via mail or phone. She will try to provide you with initial advice and support.

If you do not speak English or German, please contact her beforehand. She will try to provide you with a translator.

The Office of Migration, Integration and Asylum is your key contact if you:

  • are a non-German-speaking resident of Tamm
  • need help to communicate with authorities such as the Aliens Office or local institutions as for example schools, kindergardens etc.
  • are getting settled in Tamm and need further information about local services

Office of Education for Migrants and New Residents

Melike Kizilaslanoglu is the Education Coordinator for Immigrants in Tamm.

If you do not speak English or German, please contact him beforehand so that he can arrange an external translator.

TafF - Tamm aktiv für Flüchtlinge

TafF is a group of Tammer residents, that voluntarily provides support and assistance for refugees in our town.

If you would like to get in touch with friendly locals, you can visit one of their many events and enjoy tea, coffee and cake within a group of mixed nationalities.
